Is your company’s executive education program any good?

In fact, does your company even have an executive education program?

Long ago in response to parents’ protests about a recent tuition increase at Harvard, then president Derek Bok suggested, “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.”

Here are other questions:

1. What specifically is your company doing to help its executives develop and then strengthen their leadership and management skills? Decision-making, for example, as well as delegation, performance measurement, and communication?

2. With regard to knowledge management, how are information needs identified and prioritized? How quickly and fully are these needs filled? How effectively and extensively do you and your associates exchange information, cooperate with mutual support, and collaborate on special projects?
