Last year, companies spent almost $100-BILLION on training and development programs for their employees.
Much (if not most) of that investment will have little (if any) ROI.
There’s a much better way to spend relatively little money on one of the most exciting developments in training and development: self-directed learning.
How does it work?
Briefly, determine the extent of interest among the given workforce.
If there is sufficient interest, create an intranet or add a new component to the one you have.
Provide program information and invite them to sign up.
Two key points:
1. There is no cost to those enrolled.
2. They proceed at their own pace.
