My Mother

My hope for every child is that they have the kind of mother I had.

Margaret (“Dolly”) Morris divorced a man unworthy of her, raised me as a single-parent, and made countless personal sacrifices to so that I had everything I needed and as much of what I wanted as her severely limited funds allowed.

She was 55 when she died but has always been with me since then.

I think of her again today. I think of her every day.

She was the wisest, most courageous person I have ever known.

All of my children and grandchildren have that kind of a mother.

Everyone should and I wish they did….
