Amazon now sells more than 100,000 books in the “leadership” category. Every so often, a new one breaks through the clutter and chatter with a few ideas that can really help to accelerate the personal growth and professional development of leaders in any organization, whatever its size and nature may be.
Joel Peterson’s Entrepreneurial Leadership: offers an excellent case in point. Many (if not most) people think of entrepreneurship in terms of launching a new company. In fact, as the subtitle of Peterson’s book correctly suggests, entrepreneurship includes “new ventures” that could be a new product or service, of course, as well as a new department, market, policy, or procedure. And let’s not forget about new analytics, technologies, research data, and regulatory compliance obligations.
I highly recommend the material in this book. If put to use with sufficient care…and vigor, the “set of principles, mind-sets, and self-talk can indeed help” to accelerate leadership development in almost any organization.
Entrepreneurial Leadership will be published by HarperCollins Leadership (April 21, 2020). You can pre-order it now from Amazon.
