Eugène Atget’s Paris: Then and Now

Here is a remarkable collection of Eugène Atget‘s photographs of Paris 100 years ago juxtaposed with photographs of the same scenes in Paris today.

Quite lovely.

Perhaps you will enjoy them as much as I do.

They are featured in Adam Nossiter’s article for The New York Times.

Here is a direct link.

Adam Nossiter is the Times‘ Paris bureau chief. Previously, he was a Paris correspondent, the West Africa bureau chief, and led the team that won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for coverage of the Ebola epidemic.
