“Ten of the best films that most people haven’t seen or even heard of”: One Man’s Opinion

The other day, a friend of mine said he and his wife were Netflix subscribers and “always on the look out for suggestions from film buffs.” He then asked, “Which are the best films that most people haven’t seen or even heard of?”

Here’s my list in the order of their release:

Beat the Devil (1953)

Smiles of a Summer Night (1955)

The Horse’s Mouth (1958)

The Roots of Heaven (1958)

Tunes of Glory (1960)

Inside Moves (1980)

Thief (1981)

Hope and Glory (1987)

A Midnight Clear (1992)

Secondhand Lions (2003)

The embedded links are to IMDb, in my opinion the single best source for information about films.

I also highly recommend the American Film Institute which also has a wealth of superb resources.

Happy viewing!
