The most important alignment within any organization

This is one of the greatest challenges that all leaders face: getting the right work done by the right people to do it.

The alignment consists of two components.

Here’s one of Peter Drucker’s most valuable insights: “There is surely nothing quite so useless as doing with great efficiency what should not be done at all.”

Once you know what must be done, you need to assign the right person or team to do it.

Some ugly ducklings are actually swans.

Some ugly swans are actually ducks.

If you get alignment of the two components wrong, organizational failure is inevitable.
