An immensely interesting conversation

 

I recently re-read Steve Batterson’s brilliant book, In Pursuit of Genius: Flexner, Einstein, and the Early Faculty at the Institute for Advanced Study, published by AK Peters (2006). I came upon a brief discussion of Robert Oppenheimer which prompted me to track down the transcript of the See It Now program during which he had a conversation with Edward R. Murrow. For wholly different reasons, they are among the most influential people during the 20th century. This program was first presented on CBS in 1955.
