20 truly amazing facts

There are several online sources to check out if you share my interest in what could be characterized as “out of the box” facts.” Some of my personal favorites are in the field of etymology. For example, the fact that the original meaning of the word sarcasm is “ripping of flesh.”

Quite by accident, I stumbled upon the ati (all that’s interesting) website. These are among the items that caught my eye:

1. Madame Curie’s notebooks are still radioactive. Researchers wishing to study them must sign a waiver in order to do so.

2. Leonardo da Vinci could write with one hand and draw with the other at the same time.
17. Clans of long ago that wanted to get rid of their unwanted people without killing them use to burn their houses down – hence the expression “to get fired.”
