Opinions continue to be divided — and sometimes sharply divided — with regard to whether or not it is possible to balance and/or integrate a career with a personal life.

The discussions are especially lively when the focus is on women.

Anne-Marie Slaughter‘s article in the July/August 2012 issue of The Atlantic, “Why Women Still Can’t Have It All,” certainly created a furor.

In a special supplement (Continuing Education) to the March 20, 2015, issue of The New York Times, there are several articles of special interest to me:

“Turning to Education for Fun” Greg Beato
“In the Age of Information, Specializing to Survive” J. Peder Zane
“Free Online Courses Keep Retirees in the Know” Walecia Konrad
“Luring Working Executives to M.B.A. Programs” Robert Strauss

I agree with Steven Wright: “You can’t have it all. Where would you put it?”
